North Lincolnshire Homes Board is made up of 15 volunteers and has overall legal reponsibility for the governance of the company. They include five tenants, five council nominees and five independent members.
The Board holds an Annual General meeting every year. Each year a set number of tenant board members will step down and there will be elections to replace them. The latest AGM was held in September 2008. |

Chairman of the Board Tony Lightfoot is retired from a 39 year career in Social Housing. He was Chief Executive at Boston Mayflower Ltd, and Chief Executive at Havelok Housing Association in Grimsby. He took over chairmanship of North Lincolnshire Homes in October 2008.
Tony Scrase-Waters is an active tenants' representative and Vice Chair of the Board. Tony has been previously employed as a supported housing officer and wants tenants to receive the best deal possible.
David Procter is an independent member, having previously chaired the Board. He is the former Chief Executive of Pennine Housing 2000 and has more than 37 years experience in social housing.
Gordon Rowlands was heavily involved in the management of the magisterial functions of Doncaster Courts as part of the Police Authority in South Yorkshire and is a Member of the Institute of Personnel Managers. He has many years experience of human resources and employment work. Gordon is Chair of the Resources Committee.
Richard Leach, a tenant in Brigg for more than six years, he helped set up the Lillywood Area Residents' Group and is secretary of the Residents' Forum. Richard is the Chair of the Operations Committee.
John Briggs is Deputy Leader of the Conservatives at North Lincolnshire Council. Through governance, management and financial security he wants North Lincolnshire Homes to provide better social housing for all tenants.
Cheryl Leaning is a qualified solicitor and is employed as a senior conveyancing manager in a law firm in Hull. Cheryl is active in a number of organisations in North Lincolnshire.
Len Foster is Deputy Leader of North Lincolnshire Council. He has a lifelong interest in social housing and is an ex Chair of Housing at Scunthorpe Borough Council. Len is employed by Corus, a major steel company in Scunthorpe.
Edna Kenyon, an active member of her community, has been a tenant in Scunthorpe for forty-seven years. Her work with young people involved a successful Youth Club.
Peter Clark represents Ferry ward, Scunthorpe. He was a member of the housing committee on Glanford Borough Council and then the housing strategy committee at North Lincolnshire Council.
Colin Boyce is a founder member of Lodgemoor Residents' Association and feels passionately about both the quality of the services and repairs tenants receive and the environment around their homes.
Linda Cawsey is a mother of three with a background of secretarial and accounting experience. She has a passion for trying to make good quality housing available for those who need it.
Roni Wilson is the newly appointed council representative.
Edgar Patchett was appointed the new independent Board member at the 2008 AGM.
Mark Harland is the newly elected tenant Board member.
We actively encourage our tenants to consider becoming an Ordinary Member of North Lincolnshire Homes. Ordinary Members can vote at Annual General meetings, and vote for tenant and independent board members. Any tenant, who is an Ordinary Member (provided they are not in serious breach of their tenancy conditions), can put himself or herself forward for election as tenant Board Member. The Housing Corporation is the government's regulator of Registered Social Landlords. The Housing Corporation monitors North Lincolnshire Homes to ensure it meets the required standards and is fit for purpose.
