Paying your rent

We now offer our tenants several convenient, yet alternative methods on paying your rent – all you have to do as a tenant, is choose which one you find the easiest. Rent is due in advance on the Monday of each week and can be paid either weekly or monthly.

Direct Debit

Direct Debits are the easiest method of paying your rent. Once set up, you do not need to do anything – no visiting of payment points or having to remember to pay your rent.

We now offer payment dates of the 1st or the 7th of each month, where four weeks rent will be collected automatically from your bank account. You remain in control - no changes to amounts or dates can be made without informing your first, and you can choose to cancel at any time by contacting your local bank.

To pay by this method please complete a Direct Debit form by downloading a form [PDF] Opens a new window and returning it to us.

Swipe Card

All tenants who do not pay their rent through Direct Debit automatically receive a Swipe Card.

The Swipe Card can be used with cash or a credit or debit card at any Post Office, PayZone or PayPoint outlet.

A list of outlets available in the North Lincolnshire region can be viewed by clicking here.

Telephone

Tenants can pay their rent over the phone by using their debit or credit card.

To do so contact 01724 279900 please be aware that all payment made using a credit card incurs a 2.25% charge on the amount that you are paying.

Internet

You can now pay your rent online through the Allpay website

All you need is your Swipe Card along with a credit or debit card. Please note that your credit card provider may charge you for using this service.

Housing Benefit

You may be able to get help with paying your rent if you are entitled to Housing Benefit. Housing Benefit is paid by North Lincolnshire Council Opens a new window not North Lincolnshire Homes.

You can have your Housing Benefit paid direct to North Lincolnshire Homes so we can pay it straight onto your rent account. This is an easy and convenient way to deal with your housing benefit payments and it helps reduce the chances of falling behind with your rent. We recommend that all our tenants choose this option.
